FULL Waterfalls circular walk Take lunch & wet weather gear including a spare pair of socks, and wear walking boots or shoes with a good Grip. We leave the car and pay a short visit to the Sychryd Valley to look at the geology there before following the Mellte to the old gun powder factory. There follows a steep but good path up to the ridge, woodlands and to the first big waterfall Sgwd yr Eira which we walk behind. There then follow three more waterfalls and pretty woodlands. The walk involves some short steep climbs. Good boots or shoes with good grips are essential. Next its fairly level walking through woodland to Porth yr Ogof. From here its uphill across fields before dropping downhill in woods to the Nedd Valley. Now it’s gently downhill via more waterfalls including Sgwd Gwladys all the way to Pontneddfechan. This walk can be quite tiring as it’s a long day but is a beautiful walk, not to be missed if you are reasonably fit. These stunning waterfalls are at their best in wet weather CONTACT CLIVE FOR FULL DETAILS.
